景觀踏青-神秘蚯蚓坑如入仙境
北石碇最新興的秘境蚯蚓坑，是一處狹縫型峽谷，長大約120公尺，可見整條蜿蜒溪水，深邃碧綠，宛如都會中的桃花源仙境，因而成為了遊客游泳、划獨立槳的好去處。蚯蚓坑有著奇特的溪流景觀，兩側壯觀山壁，加上樹林茂密，碧綠成蔭，讓人有置身熱帶雨林的錯覺，也讓這裡成為絕佳的避暑仙境，然而一旦上游下雨，此處也暗藏危機，最好還是有當地的人帶領較為安全。

The Wormhole, a mysterious river paradise
The Wormhole is one of the area’s best kept secrets, located to the North of Shiding. The river forms a spectacular natural gorge that stretches over a 120 meters along the valley. Tourists can swim and paddle along the narrow gorge through deep clear water. Visitors will find themselves in a lush tropical forest, marveling at the remote natural surroundings with streams, green hills and indigenous forest. The Wormhole is definitely one of the best summer retreats for visitors to the area. However, during the rainy season, the Wormhole can become dangerous to tourists due to sudden rising river levels. It is therefore recommended that tourists be guided by the locals.
The secret Wormhole is located in the vicinity of No.34, Shuang-Qing Rd., Shiding Dist., New Taipei City.

老街巡禮-菁桐老街
菁桐坑站（菁桐老街）
菁桐車站是鐵路平溪支線的終點站。菁桐坑原是因礦產而起的繁華聚落，隨著礦業的沒落而沉寂後，仍留下不少當年採礦遺跡。走進菁桐老街，彷彿是走進時光隧道，古早時代的日用品及小吃隨處可見！地面鋪設的石磚，帶領遊客走進時光、走進歷史。活動:許願竹、放波麗士天燈景點:鐵道故事館、煤礦紀念公園、日式宿舍群、菁桐天燈派出所(平溪分駐所)、菁桐礦業生活館。

Jingtong Tunnel Station (Jingtong Old Street)
Jingtong Train station is located along the Pingxi Line. Jingtong Tunnel’s origins can be traced back to a local Taiwanese tribe that used the tunnel for natural mineral extraction. After the decline of the mineral industry, the now remains of the old mines can still be viewed by visitors to the area. Visiting Jingtong Old Street is like taking a trip back into time with the daily utensils and equipment used by the miners still on display in the old tunnel. Tourists are taken on a journey through history and guided through various unique sites.

Jingtong Sky Lantern Police Station (Pingxi Police Station)
This multi-functional police station (Pingxi Police Station) not only maintains public order in the small town but also serves as a tourist information center. The building is famous for its nine-meter-tall glass structure, which has the appearance of a sky lantern, and is composed of 200,000 LED bulbs. In addition, the Sky Lantern Police Station offers customized “Police Sky Lanterns”. This magnificent and enthralling light show captures the attention of all visitors to the area.

Shihfen (Old Street) Station
The most memorable part of Shihfen Old Street is the nostalgic scene of trains passing by in front of the village houses. The trains regularly pass between two rows of houses within the narrow old street. Tourists can get up-close and personal with the passing trains without any barriers. The tourists can also enjoy a leisurely stroll through the picturesque town, enjoy various local delicacies and buy souvenirs from the local shops.

Pingxi Old Street
Pingxi (Old Street) Station
Pingxi is a picturesque town surrounded by beautiful mountains and green forests The natural landscape surrounding Pingxi includes large waterfalls and a unique river scene. Pingxi Old Street is lined with traditional style houses and shops, such as the Gama shop (a traditional grocery store) and traditional vendors which sell various kinds of snacks and fresh produce. The simplistic life style and old-fashioned atmosphere from the old street explains why quite a few advertisement companies and movie makers have selected this location as the backdrop for their films. Why not take a walk and enjoy the local ambiance here!

景觀踏青-十分瀑布之旅
十分瀑布是平溪區必去的景點，從四廣潭的十分遊客中心前方道路直走沿著綠廊步道漫步，清風徐徐、翠綠處處、河水漫流，步履輕快、心曠神怡，前行約十多分鐘就可聽見瀑布隆隆的水聲了。十分瀑布環抱在青山綠樹的山區裡，是台灣最寬的垂簾型瀑布，湍急的水流穿越逆斜的岩層直墜而下二十多公尺的深潭，激起迷濛的水氣和芬多精，讓人忍不住想深呼吸，在陽光照射下，還會出現斜掛的彩虹，景色迷離夢幻。園區內有三處觀瀑區，遊客可從不同角度欣賞瀑布之美，第一、第二觀瀑區沿途的階梯較為陡峭，年長或行動不便者建議在第三觀瀑區觀賞瀑布。 橫跨基隆河的四廣潭吊橋就位於遊客中心旁邊，從橋上可觀賞由基隆河轉彎形成四方且寬廣的四廣潭以及壺穴景致。由十分遊客中心後方馬路沿著景觀木棧道可至觀瀑吊橋，在橋上就可望見猶如眼鏡般的眼鏡洞瀑布，瀑布雖不高，但流水從岩壁中間的兩個洞傾流而下，有趣的景色充滿想像空間。

Shifen Waterfall
Shifen Waterfall is a must-see scenic spot in Pingxi district. Visitors can take a walk along the scenic trail from the Shifen information center along Si Guang Lake. Along the peaceful hike you can enjoy the fresh country air and beautiful surroundings. After about a ten minute walk, the rumbling sound from the waterfall can be heard. Shifen Waterfall is a truly majestic sight, with its clear green water falling over high cliffs with a dense indigenous forest backdrop. People can’t help but breathe in the fresh misty vapor from the waterfall. The waterfall appears especially spectacular under the sunshine when small rainbows appear in the light. Since there are three locations from which to view the waterfall, visitors can appreciate the beauty of waterfalls from different angles. The stairs along the first and second locations are steep. Therefore, the third location would be recommended for older or disabled visitors. The Si Guang Suspension Bridge across the Keelung River is located next to the information center. Travelers can also appreciate the beauty of Si Guang Lake and the natural water holes formed by the Keelung River from the viewpoint of the bridge. The wooden path behind Shifen Information Center leads to another suspension bridge. From the bridge, travelers can view the “Glass hole waterfall”. Although the waterfall is not as high as Shifen waterfall, the clear water flowing from the two rock holes still manages to inspire many visitors.
